Matthew Etherington reacts on Twitter to West Ham win, praises defender, highlights a negative

West Ham

West Ham United won 2-0 against Liverpool at home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Matthew Etherington has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to West Ham United’s win against Liverpool at home on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham registered their second successive victory in the Premier League, as they got the better of Liverpool 2-0 at the Boleyn Ground in London.

Former Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio put the Hammers in the lead after just 10 minutes, and Andy Carroll made it 2-0 to the London outfit 10 minutes into the second half.

Etherington was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of defender James Collins.

The former West Ham winger, though, has highlighted one negative from the win: the injury suffered by Manuel Lanzini, who had to be substituted in the 39th minute.

Over the course of the 90 minutes against Liverpool, Collins had a pass accuracy of 58%, won 67% of his tackles and 80% of his headers, and made two interceptions, 23 clearances and three blocks.
