Manchester United fans react to Matteo Darmian's performance against Swansea

Old Trafford 2

Manchester United defeated Swansea City 2-1 on Saturday.

It was a long time coming but Manchester United fans finally had something to cheer about this weekend as their side won 2-1 against Swansea City at Old Trafford.

After a goalless and worrying first half Anthony Martial did what he does best, heading in the opening goal two minutes after the break.

From there it looked like United would play with the pressure off, but Swansea equalised when Gylfi Sigurdsson beat David de Gea with just 20 minutes remaining.

The Old Trafford faithful clearly feared the worst but skipper Wayne Rooney had other ideas and he scored a wonderful strike to end his drought and ensure United got their first win in eight attempts.

Summer signing Matteo Darmian watched the first 45 minutes from the bench but he was called on at half-time to replace the injured Phil Jones, making his 22nd appearance of the season in the process.

The Italian international started his United career in impressive fashion but his form has dipped more recently and he has been in and out of the team as a result.
