Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has been linked with a move to Partick Thistle in the January transfer window.

Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has told The Scottish Sun that he is enjoying himself at Celtic Park and does not plan on leaving anytime soon.

McGregor has been at Celtic his entire professional career so far and has got decent good playing time this season.

The 22-year-old is not guaranteed a regular place in Ronny Deila’s starting lineup yet, but he has featured in the Scottish Premiership as well as in the Europa League for the Bhoys this campaign.

According to a report in The Scottish Sun last month, Partick Thistle want to sign the talented young midfielder on loan from Celtic in the January transfer window.

However, McGregor has made it clear that he wants to remain at Celtic Park and is planning a long-term stay.

“Celtic are a massive club and everything is great here — the training, the facilities — and I want to stay here for the next ten years,” the young Scot has told The Scottish Sun. “I am enjoying my football now and hopefully I can stay in the team for a long time.

“When I wasn’t in the team moving somewhere on loan wasn’t something I was thinking of. The gaffer spoke to me all the time and assured me I would get another chance.”

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 43 points from 19 matches.

The Glasgow giants are level on points with Aberdeen, who are currently second in the standings on goal difference and have played two more matches.
