Celtic defeated Partick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that he did not give up against Partick Thistle.
The Bhoys returned to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership with a 1-0 victory over Thistle at Celtic Park. Griffiths’s goal late on proved to be the difference between the two sides in Glasgow.
The 25-year-old Scotland international striker has expressed his delight at the final result, claiming that he was continually urging his teammates to remain positive.
"All credit to them, they came here, had a game plan and played well,” said Griffiths. "But I kept saying to the boys, keep going, we’re going to get one more chance."
