The Foxes played out a goalless draw with the Cherries at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.
Former Leicester striker Lineker was following the match, and this was his reaction to the final result:
Not quite sure how Leicester didn't win, but credit to Bournemouth for a mightily spirited performance.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) January 2, 2016
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the King Power Stadium, hosts Leicester had 53% of the possession, took 16 shots of which only two were on target, and earned seven corners.
Visitors Bournemouth had 47% of the possession, took nine shots of which none was on target, and earned just one corner.
Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 40 points from 20 matches, just two points behind leaders Arsenal.
The Foxes will take on Tottenham Hotspur away from home at White Hart Lane in North London in the third round of the FA Cup next Sunday.
Leicester will then face Spurs at the same venue in the Premier League on January 13.
