Confirmed Celtic line-up v Partick Thistle: Ciftci starts, Griffiths on the bench

Celtic host Partick Thistle today - here is how they line up.

Celtic starting line-up: Gordon; Lustig, Ambrose, Simunovic, Tierney; Johansen, Bitton; Commons, Rogic, McGregor; Ciftci.

Celtic substitutes: Bailly, Izaguirre, Griffiths, Mackay-Steven, Allan, Cole, Forrest.

Celtic will be hoping to win a league game for the first time December 13th as they host Partick Thistle at Celtic Park this afternoon.

Postponements and poor results mean that Celtic haven't won a league since beating St. Johnstone away from home three weeks ago, and Ronny Deila needs a result today.

Having lost to Motherwell and then drawn with Hearts, Celtic boss Deila is under pressure, and a win over Glasgow neighbours Partick Thistle is expected.

With Dedryck Boyata out injured, Efe Ambrose starts in defence, whilst Stefan Johansen partners Nir Bitton in central midfield.

Kris Commons, Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor will play as attacking midfielders and will support lone striker Nadir Ciftci, with Leigh Griffiths on the bench.

Other subs include, Gary Mackay-Steven, Scott Allan, Carlton Cole and James Forrest, with Celtic having plenty of attacking firepower to call upon if they need it.
