Villa will take on Sunderland away from home at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League this afternoon.
Ayew, who joined the Villans from French outfit Lorient in the summer of 2015, is suspended for the match.
The 24-year-old Ghana international has taken to Twitter to rally his teammates to win against fellow relegation candidates Sunderland today.
Wishing my teammates the best of luck in tomorrow's crucial match against Sunderland!! Let's make it count! #UTV— Jordan Ayew (@jordan_ayew9) January 1, 2016
Villa are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with just eight points from 19 matches.
Remi Garde’s side are as many as 11 points behind 17th-placed Swansea City, and it seems that they are set for relegation to the Championship at the end of the season.
Sunderland are also struggling for survival in the English top flight and currently find themselves second from bottom in the standings.
