Sam Allardyce sends message to Sunderland fans on Twitter ahead of Aston Villa clash

Allardyce deflated

Sunderland will take on Aston Villa at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has taken to social networking site Twitter to urge the fans to support the team against Aston Villa this weekend.

The Black Cats will return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they take on fellow relegation candidates Villa at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland will head into the game against Villa at the Stadium of Light on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at home.

The Black Cats lost all five Premier League games in December and are in a terrible run of form.

Allardyce’s side are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with just 12 points from 19 matches, as many as seven points behind 17th-placed Swansea City.

Meanwhile, Villa currently find themselves at the bottom of the league table with just eight points from 19 games.

Remi Garde’s side will head into the encounter against Sunderland on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Norwich City away from home in the Premier League.
