Photos: Jon Flanagan in full first-team training for Liverpool, perfect for Klopp?

The 23-year-old will be hoping for a better 2016 with the Reds.

Jon Flanagan was pictured in full Liverpool first-team training on New Year's Day as his comeback from injury trouble continues.

Flanagan has enjoyed various steps towards a return to fitness recently, featuring for the Under-21s and joining in during practice.

On this occasion, 'Flano' was in full training with the Liverpool senior side and that can only please boss Jurgen Klopp.

In fact, the Reds youngster could be a perfect Klopp player. Indeed, Flanagan has energy, fight and passion - qualities the German both shares and loves.

Just look at the kind of dramatic tackles the full-back has produced during his time at Anfield...

The 23-year-old has become a fan favourite through his dedication to the cause at Liverpool and will no doubt provide a big boost for Klopp when he is ready to return to match action.

With Joe Gomez out, Flanagan would provide a much-needed layer of depth at the back, although the likes of Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne should still start for the Reds.
