The Argentine talent has been linked with a move back to his former club.

Middlesbrough could be about to receive a transfer blow, whilst Manchester City fans won't be pleased either, as Bruno Zuculini looks to be heading back to his native Argentina in the coming weeks.

Argentine source Ole is reporting that Racing Club boss and former Fulham striker Facundo Sava has made the Manchester City talent his number one target and that the 22-year-old is keen on a return to his boyhood club - from whom he joined City in 2014.

The report states that the player has informed City of his wish to return to Racing and he expects to be granted his move in the coming month.

Zuculini arrived with promise at City but has never made the grade in the competitive first-team at The Etihad.

He has played just once for the club, in the FA Community Shield.

This season Zuculini has been on loan at Championship table toppers Middlesbrough and has featured five times for the Teesiders.

An initial one-month deal signed in October, which has been extended, ends in January and rather than return to the Riverside it looks as though Zuculini will be heading home.
