Leeds United are set to take on Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday.
Leeds are set to host Karl Robinson’s side on January 2nd, and Holloway is confident that the home supporters will have something to cheer.
The former Blackpool boss says that he has been impressed by the Whites ever since Evans took charge, and he believes they will be too strong for MK Dons to cope with.
“I fancy a home win here,” he predicted. “This Leeds team have really impressed me since Steve Evans took the job. They are putting in a real shift for their manager and they have the talent to complement that hard work.
“They looked down and out when I covered them at Wolves, but they came back with great a resurgence to win 3-2 in the end. Plus, any team that can stop Derby from winning are worth keeping onside.”
Leeds have improved considerably under Evans’ guidance, and now look like an outside bet to make it into the play off spaces.
The Yorkshire outfit have claimed 19 points in their last 12 matches, and they have moved up the Championship table rapidly, as a result.
Leeds are currently sat in 12th place - nine points back from the top six places.
MK Dons, meanwhile, have found life difficult in the second tier, after being promoted last season.
The Dons have won just six games to date, and they currently sit just one point above the relegation zone.
