Stan Collymore slams Aston Villa for letting Marc Albrighton go and keeping Charles N'Zogbia

Marc Albrighton left Aston Villa to join Leicester City in 2014.

Stan Collymore says that it is embarrassing that Aston Villa would not offer Marc Albrighton £35,000-a-week, but were happy to hand Charles N’Zogbia a mega money deal.

Villa allowed Albrighton, who had progressed through the ranks at the club, to leave Villa Park on a free transfer back in the summer of 2014.

The winger has since proved his class at Leicester City, and Collymore has slammed his former club for letting Albrighton go.

N’Zogbia has struggled to justify his pay packet ever since moving to Villa from Wigan Athletic back 2011.

The Frenchman has failed to ever show his top form for a sustained period of time, and he has dropped down the pecking order, as a result.

N’Zogbia has made just two appearances for the Claret and Blues this season, and he has made little impact.

In his entire time with the Claret and Blues, the 29-year-old has made 80 appearances in the Premier League, but he has only scored four times.
