Grant Holt has expressed his gratitude to Wolverhampton Wanderers for making him welcome throughout his loan spell at Molineux.
The experienced target man played just four times for Kenny Jackett’s side, and failed to hit the back of the net.
Holt has expressed his disappointment at not playing more regularly at Wolves, but insists that he still enjoyed his time with the Midlands outfit.
Big thank you to all the players staff and fans @OfficialWolves who made me feel so welcome was a pleasure to be at such a fantastic club.— Grant holt (@Grantholt31) December 30, 2015
Shame never got more minutes on the pitch but that's football good luck for the rest of the season— Grant holt (@Grantholt31) December 30, 2015
Jackett has not suggested that Wolves will try and extend Holt’s stay in the January transfer window, now that he has returned to Wigan.
It means that the former Norwich City man will be aiming to break into the Latics' first team, as they push for promotion from League One.
Wigan are currently in fifth place in England’s third tier - eight points back from the automatic promotion spots.
