Aston Villa fans are largely in agreement that the addition of Loic Remy from Chelsea would be a good one.
The French striker has found first team chances hard to come by at Stamford Bridge this season, and he could be made available for loan in January.
If Villa were able to land him it would be a signal of their intent, and his capture would seemingly raise spirits around Villa Park.
The Claret and Blues have failed to successfully replace Christian Benteke, with none of the attacking options being particularly prolific.
Rudy Gestede has struggled to adapt to Premier League football, while Scott Sinclair and Gabriel Agbonlahor have both found it difficult to hit the back of the net.
Jordan Ayew has scored five goals in his last 10 matches, but even his form has not been enough to fire Villa up the Premier League standings.
As a result, Villa are keen to invest in January and supporters have urged the club to go out and secure Remy’s transfer, with Garde confirming their interest today.

Remy would be good buy imo, but we are 11 points off safety and we're 19 games into the season, shows that it's basically impossible #avfc— Jake (@jsxmples) December 30, 2015

Hope Remy rumour is true. We need quality with experience in league if we're to stand a chance of staying up #AVFC— The Villa Blog (@AVFCBlog) December 30, 2015
Loic Remy would be some signing, but I'm not even going to dare to dream #avfc— Tendai (@tbtaruvinga) December 30, 2015
Loic Remy would be a terrific signing for Villa. As long as we can get the service to him. We need to play Gil, Grealish and/or Traore #avfc— Jay White (@jaywhite_1) December 30, 2015
