Sheffield Wednesday lost 1-0 to Middlesbrough away from home in the Championship on Monday evening.

Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Fernando Forestieri against Middlesbrough on Monday evening.

Forestieri did not start the Championship game at the Riverside Stadium, but he came on at half time.

During his time on the pitch, the 25-year-old, who can play as a striker or as an attacking midfielder, took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 67%, put in two crosses and attempted one dribble.

The former Watford man failed to lead the Owls to the three points, though, as Middlesbrough won the encounter 1-0.

Christian Stuani’s goal in the opening minute of the match proved to be the difference between the two sides.

The Owls are seventh in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 24 matches, just a point behind Ipswich Town, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.
