Sheffield Wednesday suffered a 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough in the Championship on Monday evening.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Jack Hunt has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s failure to win against Middlesbrough away from home on Monday evening.

Wednesday went down 1-0 to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship.

Christian Stuani's goal in the opening minute of the match proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Hunt, who joined the Owls on a season-long loan deal from Premier League outfit Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window, has thanked the fans for their support on Twitter.

Midfielder Barry Bannan has also taken to Twitter to show his gratitude to the Wednesday supporters.

Wednesday are seventh in the Championship table at the moment with 36 points from 24 matches, just a point behind Ipswich Town, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.

Carlos Carvalhal’s side will return to league action on Saturday when they take on Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in London.
