According to the Guardian, Everton will demand £8 million for Steven Naismith in January, as interest in the attacking midfielder grows.
Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Sunderland and Middlesbrough are all said to be keen to sign the Scotland international.
However, it is Norwich City who hold the upper hand in the chase for Naismith, as they have reportedly agreed a deal in principle with Everton to sign the attacker in January.
The Canaries are willing to meet Everton's £8m asking price for the 29-year-old, and it will be up to the other interested parties to match that bid now, if they want to rival Alex Neil's side.
Naismith has already admitted to ITV that he may have to look elsewhere in the new year, due to his lack of chances this season.
Naismith has not made a Premier League start for Roberto Martinez’s side since 17th October.
Naismith has only played 12 times in all competitions, and it seems that his chances of breaking back into Everton’s starting line up are slim, although he did play a part in their defeat against Stoke City at the weekend.
