The Toffees have been very attacking in their matches so far this season, and their performances have been entertaining to watch.
However, they have not accumulated the amount of points that they were expected to and they currently sit in 11th place in the Premier League table.
One of the major reasons for the Toffees’ struggles has been their failure to keep opposition sides out.
Everton have let in 28 goals already this season - a total which is greater than any side in the top half of the Premier League table - and the club’s senior players have reportedly told Martinez that they want him to adopt a more defensive approach.
The Spaniard, however, still believes that Everton’s all-out-attack philopshy will pay dividends.
Everton are only four points away from the top six, and Martinez feels that his side will be able to make up that gap by May, as long as they keep playing on the front foot.
