Ossie Ardiles reacts on Twitter to Tottenham Hotspur win

Ossie Ardiles says Tottenham have plenty of reasons to be excited about the second half of the season.

Former Tottenham Hotspur player and coach Ossie Ardiles raved about the team's performance as they beat Watford 2-1.

The Hornets had been in excellent form ahead of the game and it took a late winner from Heung-Min Son to give Tottenham all three points.

Spurs sit third in the Premier League at present, although can slip to fourth if Manchester City get a point or more away to Leicester City on Tuesday evening.

Ardiles used Twitter to praise head coach Mauricio Pochettino and the players for their latest victory.

The Premier League is so open this season that it will be considered an opportunity missed for Spurs if they cannot go on to achieve a top four finish.

Talk of winning the title will elicit responses ranging from believing it's possible to others decrying it as fanciful, but aiming to qualify for a Champions League place is a must, and the team need to invest in the transfer market in January to help their cause further.
