Glenn Hoddle reacts to Tottenham victory, makes interesting point about recent results

Glenn Hoddle has been impressed with Tottenham's last three performances.

Tottenham Hotspur hero Glenn Hoddle has taken to Twitter in order to praise Tottenham for their 'fantastic result' against Watford on Monday.

Spurs are just four points off top spot in the Premier League after a 2-1 win at Watford, with Erik Lamela opening the scoring before Odion Ighalo's equaliser, only for Son Heung-min to backheel the ball into the net in the dying embers of the game.

The celebration from the Spurs players following that goal, as seen above, showed that the Spurs players have real belief that they can - despite what the doubters may say - lodge a real bid to win the Premier League title this season.

After the game, former Tottenham player and manager Glenn Hoddle had his say on the victory, stating that it was a 'fantastic result' at Vicarage Road, which he believes is a tough place to play given the Hornets' recent form.

Hoddle also noted that he has seen a major response from Tottenham since they lost 2-1 at home to Newcastle earlier this month, having won the three games since that defeat.

That defeat to Newcastle was just the second loss of the season for Tottenham, with the first coming on the opening day of the season against Manchester United.

Tottenham have now shown on more than one occasion that they can bounce back from defeats and put together unbeaten runs - and that makes them a very dangerous contender for the Premier League title.

Ultimately, Tottenham fans will be disappointed that they couldn't beat lowly Newcastle, as it would have put them in an even stronger position; but in a long season, it will be great for them to know that even if they do lose the occasional game, Pochettino's men know just how to respond.
