The former Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City striker was rich in praise.
Leeds United are currently in great form ahead of their fixture with Derby County on Tuesday. They drew 1-1 against Nottingham Forest yesterday evening to take their unbeaten run to five games.
Leeds have certainly improved under the management of Steve Evans after Uwe Rosler failed to make an impact at the club.
That improvement has not only been noticed by those with links to the club, but also those who are just impressed by what he has achieved so far.
"I think he's just added that little bit more steel. What they needed was to, yes concede less, which automatically means when you you score your up.
"The big thing is going up. You go up one zero and it gives you big confidence, big composure. You can go on and try win the game then."
Derby County, another of Earnshaw's former teams, will be confident of picking up the three points from Yorkshre tomorrow. They are of course flying high in the table and looking like real promotion candidates.
However, as Earnshaw said this Leeds side is tougher than previous incarnations and Derby will need to be at their best if they are to get the better of Leeds on their home patch.
