Michael Owen predicts West Ham v Southampton

West Ham Upton Park

West Ham United will face Southampton in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Former Newcastle United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that the Premier League game between West Ham United and Southampton will end in a draw.

West Ham will take on Southampton at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Owen believes that the match in London will end in a draw and has predicted on Betvictor.com: “I am swimming against the tide picking the game to finish in a stalemate as none of the last 12 PL games between the sides at the Boleyn Ground has ended as a draw.

“That said the Irons have drawn their last five in the PL and might again have to settle for a point against a Saints’ side who have found the capital a happy hunting ground of late losing just one of their last five PL trips to London.”

West Ham will head into the encounter against Southampton on the back of a 1-1 draw with relegation candidates Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park.

The Hammers have been in poor form for weeks now and are struggling to win matches.

The London outfit are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 26 points from 18 matches.

Meanwhile, Southampton current find themselves 12th in the standings with 24 points from 18 games.

The Saints returned to winning ways on Boxing Day when they hammered title challengers Arsenal 4-0 at St. Mary’s Stadium in the league.

The last three Premier League games between West Ham and Southampton at the Boleyn Ground have produced a total of 13 goals.
