Josh Warrington reacts on Twitter to Leeds draw, fellow boxer praises debutant’s perseverance

Leeds United played out a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest in the Championship on Sunday evening.

British boxer Josh Warrington has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Leeds United’s performance against Nottingham Forest away from home on Sunday evening.

Leeds played out a 1-1 draw with Forest at the City Ground in the Championship.

Nelson Oliveira took advantage of a mix-up in the Whites’ defence to put the home team in the lead in the 17th minute.

Steve Evans’s side, though, staged a comeback and equalised in the 80th minute through a low strike from Sam Byram.

Warrington, who is the current European featherweight champion, is a Leeds fan, and he was pleased with the final result.

Tommy Coyle, another British boxer, was watching the match, and he was overjoyed to see his younger brother Lewie Coyle make his debut for Leeds.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the City Ground, Forest had just 39% of the possession, took 16 shots of which only three were on target, and earned five corners.

Visitors Leeds had 61% of the possession, took 15 shots of which only two were on target, and earned six corners.
