West Brom

West Bromwich Albion won 1-0 against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday afternoon.

West Bromwich Albion winger James McClean has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Newcastle United at home on Monday afternoon.

The Baggies returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over the Magpies at The Hawthorns.

Darren Fletcher’s goal in the 78th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides.

McClean, who is a Republic of Ireland international and joined West Brom in the summer transfer window, was overjoyed with the final result.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at The Hawthorns, hosts West Brom had 52% of the possession, took 22 shots of which just five were on target, and earned 18 corners.

Tony Pulis’s side are 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with 23 points from 19 matches, six points above the relegation zone.

The Baggies will return to action on January 2 when they take on Stoke City at home in the Premier League.
