Confirmed: Norwich v Aston Villa lineups: Four changes for both sides

Here is how the two teams will line up for this afternoon’s Premier League clash at Carrow Road…

Norwich City will be hoping to pick up a crucial victory this afternoon when they host relegation rivals Aston Villa at Carrow Road.

The Canaries sit just outside the drop zone on goal difference, level on points with 18th-placed Newcastle, after following up a memorable 2-1 win at Manchester United with a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.

Manager Alex Neil makes four changes to the side that lost at White Hart Lane, with Jonny Howson, Wes Hoolahan, Graham Dorrans and Dieumerci Mbokani coming into the line-up in place of Martin Olsson, Youssuf Mulumbu, Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and Cameron Jerome.

Villa, meanwhile, sit nine points behind Norwich at the foot of the table following Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with West Ham United, having failed to record a league win since beating Bournemouth 1-0 on the opening day of the season.

Performances have improved since Remi Garde replaced Tim Sherwood at the helm in early November, with the team recording four draws in his first seven matches in charge, but they desperately need to start collecting three points if they are to beat the odds and retain their top-flight status.

Micah Richards makes his return to the line-up after missing the past four matches with a knee problem, while Ciaran Clark, Kieran Richardson and Scott Sinclair also come into the starting XI for Jores Okore, Joleon Lescott, Rudy Gestede and the injured Carlos Sanchez.
