Tottenham transfer news: Jackson Martinez linked with loan move; Levy reportedly bids £25.1m for Domenico Berardi

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

According to a report from the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are considering a loan move for Atletico Madrid striker Jackson Martinez in January.

The Colombia international was one of the most prolific forwards in Europe during his time at FC Porto, where he scored 92 goals in 133 appearances.

That form ultimately prompted a switch to La Liga but the 29-year-old has failed to replicate his best form as yet, finding the net just three times in 15 matches this season.

He has recently been ruled out through injury but the latest report claims Tottenham could be the club to benefit with Atletico manager Diego Simeone allegedly willing to let Jackson leave on loan for the second half of the campaign.

In other news, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim in their most recent print edition (later posted online by Sport Witness) that Tottenham have offered €34million for Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi.

That equates to around £25.1million for the 21-year-old who is equally adept on either wing or as a secondary striker.

Tottenham could certainly do with some additional fire-power and Berardi’s 44 goals and 28 assists in 115 matches is a fine return for such a young player.
