Stephen Warnock sends message on Twitter after win, Derby fans respond

Derby County defeated Fulham 2-0 in the Championship on Boxing Day.

Derby County defender Stephen Warnock has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in his side’s win against Fulham at home on Boxing Day.

The Rams won yet again in the Championship, as they got the better of Fulham 2-0 at the iPro Stadium.

Tim Ream scored an own goal in the 52nd minute to put Derby in the lead, and Jacob Butterfield doubled the advantage on 84 minutes.

Warnock, who started the Championship game and played for the entire 90 minutes, has taken to Twitter to express his delight at the victory, with Derby fans responding to his message.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the iPro Stadium, hosts Derby had 54% of the possession, took 19 shots of which just one was on target, and earned four corners.

Visitors Fulham had 46% of the possession, took 11 shots of which four were on target, and earned four corners.

Derby are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 47 points from 23 matches, a point clear of second-placed Middlesbrough.

Paul Clement’s side will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Leeds United away from home at Elland Road.
