Sawyers started his career at West Bromwich Albion and joined Walsall in 2013 after being released by the Baggies.
“I am an Arsenal fan, me personally,” the 24-year-old told talkSPORT. “When I was at West Brom, I would go to the game and there was a bit of a connection there, but my actual team is Arsenal.”
Sawyers is one of the best midfielders in League One and has been linked with a move away from the Banks's Stadium.
A recent report in The Daily Record claimed that Celtic are interested in signing the Saint Kitts and Nevis international.
The Scottish newspaper has also reported Aston Villa and Stoke City’s interest in the 24-year-old midfielder.
When asked about his plans for the future and about reported interest in him, Sawyers told talkSPORT: “It’s flattering to hear. It shows that I am doing something good, but again my commitments are with Walsall.”
Sawyers’s current contract with Walsall runs out at the end of the season, and it seems that he is focused on helping the Saddlers get promoted to the Championship.
Sean O’Driscoll’s side are at the top of the League One table at the moment with 45 points from 22 matches.
Walsall are level on points with second-placed Burton Albion and ahead on goal difference.
