Crystal Palace fans react on Twitter to Yannick Bolasie's injury blow

Selhurst Park - Crystal Palace - 23/02/2014

Crystal Palace star Yannick Bolasie has been ruled out for around a month.

Crystal Palace's hopes of attaining European football this season have taken a blow after the news that star winger Yannick Bolasie.

Eagles boss Alan Pardew confirmed to London 24 on Saturday that Bolasie will not only miss Monday's game against Swansea City, but may be out of action for around a month.

The 26-year-old was absent as Palace drew 0-0 at Bournemouth on Saturday, showing how Pardew's men can struggle in the final third without Bolasie's influence.

Few players in the Premier League can match Bolasie's combination of pace and power down the flanks, so Palace will now have to find a way to cope without the DR Congo international.

After the news was confirmed that Bolasie could be out until late January, Palace supporters took to Twitter, and it's clear that fans are concerned.

Fans are looking for somebody to step up - possibly Sullay Kaikai, who has been recalled from a loan spell at Shrewsbury - and fill the void left by Bolasie.

Others noted that fellow casualty Connor Wickham is a blow as well, but looked to Bolasie's spell at the African Cup of Nations last season as proof that Palace can cope without their star man.

Here are some of the reactions from Palace fans after the news of Bolasie's injury blow...
