Aston Villa fans have mixed reaction on Twitter to Rudy Gestede performance

Trinity Road Stand - Aston Villa

The Benin striker could not win over all of his doubters yesterday.

Aston Villa again avoided defeat in the Premier League yesterday as they drew 1-1 with West Ham at Villa Park.

A penalty earned by Rudy Gestede was dispatched by Jordn Ayew as Villa fought back after going 1-0 down to an Aaron Cresswell strike.

Of course it was not a result that looks to improve Villa's survival prospects. The club need to pick up three points rather than one and Villa fans are fully aware that yesterday was a chance they missed out on.

With that in mind Gestede has had a mixed review for his performance on Saturday.

The Benin international undoubtedly put in his best effort. The summer signing from Blackburn Rovers put in a great shift and really hassled the West Ham defenders throughout the game.

However his quality is certainly lacking.

He should have took some of his opportunities in the game to see off West Ham and pick up a crucial three points for Villa.

But as much effort as he puts in there certainly seems to be a limitation to the Villa player's talents and some Villa fans simply don't care for his best efforts.

Here is some of the reaction on Twitter to his performance...
