If you looked at the form books before Stoke City's Premier League clash with Manchester United on Saturday afternoon, you wouldn't have foreseen anything other than a home win. A 2-0 scoreline would have sounded about right.
And, in the event, that's exactly what transpired. Manchester United produced an abject display - even when Louis van Gaal heaped praise on a 'better' second-half performance, United were lethargic at best.
But take nothing away from a Stoke side that made United look even more mediocre than usual. Ryan Shawcross and Philipp Wollscheid were magnificent in defence, while Bojan was a real hub of creativity going forward.
Marko Arnautovic, meanwhile, was equally superb. The 26-year-old netted with a ferocious strike to double the Potters' lead in the first half, before unluckily firing just wide later on (many slated Arnautovic here but his shot wasn't as bad as plenty have suggested).
As such, the plaudits have poured in for a number of Stoke players on Twitter. Fans have lauded the aforementioned as well as several others. And the Arnautovic praise has seen comparisons with a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
For plenty, Arnautovic is like a 'Poundland' or 'Asda' version of the Swede. But, in truth, Ibrahimovic could be a lesser imitation of the Stoke man right now - as Manchester United saw first hand at the Britannia...
United were absolutely dreadful, worst UTD side I've seen down here, fantastic win though!! Bojan and Arnautovic are magic. #SCFC— Nathan Shelley (@NathanSCFC) December 26, 2015
