Rolando Aarons sums up Newcastle's Everton loss in two words on Twitter

Newcastle were beaten by a late Everton goal on Boxing Day.

Everton left St James' Park with all three points on Boxing Day thanks to a late winner that broke Newcastle United hearts.

And Rolando Aarons took to Twitter with two words that, in his eyes, summed up his side's loss.

Indeed, the young winger feels Newcastle were 'so unlucky' against Everton on Tyneside.

This certainly wasn't a case of Newcastle delivering a disastrous display that cost them dearly, as much as that has happened already this season.

The Magpies definitely were unlucky against Everton, although the one flaw that was emphasised by several - including Alan Shearer - was the fact Newcastle once again failed to take their chances.

Whether it's coincidence or a problem with the players' mentality, the Tyneside outfit simply can't seem to earn wins unless they are heavy underdogs.

Everton hadn't won in three but left St James' Park with all three points, while Newcastle couldn't beat Villa at home, either. Against Tottenham and Liverpool, though, Steve McClaren's men thrived on their underdog status.

Still, like Aarons says, the Magpies were very unlucky on Boxing Day...
