England international striker Harry Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 26th minute.
The youngster made it 2-0 on 42 minutes, and Tom Carroll wrapped up the three points with his side’s third in the 80th minute.
Former Tottenham striker Soldado was following the match on TV, and he was pleased with the final result.
The Spain international striker has also expressed his delight at Spurs attacker Erik Lamela’s attempt to pull off a ‘rabona’ in the second half.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at White Hart Lane, hosts Spurs had 60% of the possession, took 15 shots of which 10 were on target, and earned nine corners.
Visitors Norwich had 40% of the possession, took 11 shots of which just three were on target, and earned four corners.
