Report: Bournemouth chasing Sporting Lisbon talent Carlos Mane

Sporting Lisbon Nextgen

The winger is set to leave Portugal.

AFC Bournemouth looked doomed to relegation from the Premier League recently. The South Coast club were suffering with injury problems and results started to turn against them.

However, they have recently turned things around and look to be in with a shout of survival after all.

With that in mind they will want to continue their momentum through January, which may involve bringing in some new talent.

One player who has been linked this week is Sporting Lisbon talent Carlos Mane. The winger was linked with a sensational move to Manchester United two years ago. He had made his breakthrough recently and was linked with a €45 million (£33.3 million) move to Old Trafford - as reported by the Daily Mail.

He has however struggled for first-team football this season and the 21-year-old also has some niggling injury problems this term. With that in mind Bournemouth, Marseille and Monaco are being linked by A Bola with a €10 million (£7.4 million) bid for the talented winger.

The Portugal Under-21 international would be quite the coup for Bournemouth especially with their injury worries.

If Mane does head to Dean Court then the Cherries fans can expect to see some tricks and flicks from this exciting wide option.
