Alan Shearer and Peter Ramage react on Twitter to Newcastle defeat

Newcastle United suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Everton in the Premier League this evening.

Alan Shearer has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s defeat to Everton at home this evening.

Newcastle suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to the Toffees at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

Tom Cleverley’s goal in injury time proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Former Newcastle striker Shearer was following the game, and he was disappointed with the Magpies’ finishing.

Peter Ramage, a former Newcastle defender who now plans for the Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters, has also expressed his disappointment with the final result on Twitter.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park, hosts Newcastle had 41% of the possession, took 10 shots of which just one was on target, and earned three corners.

Visitors Everton had 59% of the possession, took 20 shots of which just seven were on target, and earned seven corners.

Newcastle are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from 18 matches, level on points with 17th-placed Norwich City.
