West Ham summer signing Angelo Ogbonna explains the difference between Premier League and Serie A

The Italian defender has been talking about life in England.

West Ham United pulled off something of a coup in the summer when they managed to bring in Italian international defender Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus.

The 27-year-old signed on a four-year deal and has impressed for The Hammers ... when fit.

He has had the odd injury problem this season but there is no doubt he looks like a top talent for the future.

Now the Italian has been discussing his start to life with West Ham with La Gazzetta dello Sport in his Italian homeland.

When doing so he spoke about the major difference between English and Italian football, the tempo.

He stated:

"The difference between the Premier League and Serie A is the rhythm. Here you go the distance, there is a crazy intensity. Nobody budges."

There is certainly no doubt that the Italian league and English league traditionally differ greatly when it comes to the speed and ferocity of the action.

Italian football tends to be more methodical and precise whereas in England it can sometimes go qite hell for leather.

Ogbonna is one Italian defender however who is certainly suited to play at the back for West Ham in the future.

If he can fully adapt to his new surroundings then there is no doubt that West Ham have a talent on their hands.
