HITC Sport understands the Welsh star is to get a chance at the King Power Stadium.
Tom Lawrence is going to get the chance to impress at table topping Leicester City in the New Year, HITC Sport understands.
The 21-year-old forward is currently on loan with Blackburn Rovers until early January, at which point he is going to return to the King Power Stadium - much to the disappointment of the Championship club who had been hoping to keep him.
Lawrence, though, has quickly become a popular figure at Blackburn, playing both out wide and behind the front-man, and new boss Paul Lambert is understood to have been hugely impressed.
A host of clubs had also been impressed with his displays at Blackburn and made enquiries, but HITC Sport understands that Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri is keen on running the rule over the former Manchester United man from within their own set-up.
If Leicester opt to let him leave on loan then Blackburn have already confirmed their interest, but there are top-flight teams also keen. However Lawrence, who is set to be included in Wales' squad for this summer's European Championships - is keen to impress Ranieri as he bids to finally break through at his parent club.
