Sol Campbell is tipping former club Tottenham for a top four place.
Former Tottenham defender Sol Campbell has told SportLobster that he thinks Spurs will manage to secure a top four place this season.
Campbell, 41, initially started his career in the youth setup at West Ham United, but moved on to join Tottenham as a teenager - and few could have predicted the career he would go on to have.
The defender had incredible physical attributes, and became one of England's top centre backs after making over 250 league appearances for Spurs.
However, Campbell then became a White Hart Lane villain in 2001, as he joined bitter North London rivals Arsenal on a free transfer, and few Tottenham fans have forgiven him since.
Campbell has now given his verdict on the current Spurs side, who are flying high in fourth place in the Premier League table ahead of the Christmas fixtures.
Speaking to SportLobster, Campbell claims he has been impressed with the 'young, hungry players' under Mauricio Pochettino, with the likes of Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all thriving right now.
Campbell then predicted that Tottenham will get in to the top four this season, which would of course hand them a return to the Champions League.
"Spurs have shown the sort of consistency sorely lacking in many other teams this season," said Campbell. "They’ve been efficient and solid with young, hungry players coming into the team and performing well. Who knows how high they can finish but they definitely look like a top four team this season," he added.
