The former Nottingham Forest winger has struggled for regular football at West Ham United.

Derby County's interest in West Ham United winger Michail Antonio has popped up once again.

The Derby Telegraph is reporting that the West Ham star and former Nottingham Forest winger could be an option for The Rams this winter - with a potential loan deal seeming the likely scenario.

Antonio left Derby's arch-rivals Nottingham Forest in the summer but has failed to make a significant impact with West Ham since returning to London.

Derby are said to be in the market for another attacking option to help them push on in their quest for Premier League promotion this campaign under Paul Clement.

Of course if Antonio was to head to the iPro Stadium it would be a controversial switch from the player.

Antonio was with East Midlands rivals Forest for the 2014-15 season after joining from Sheffield Wednesday.

He was named the club's Player of the Season last term and went on to join West Ham in the summer after scoring 19 goals in 54 appearances at the City Ground.

If Derby County did get hold of him he would be an excellent signing for the rest of the season. Not only would he be a huge benefit to their promotion hopes, but he would be a massive win over their local rivals.
