Felipe Anderson is claimed to be a top target for Louis van Gaal.

It is not just Manchester United's players who will be affected if the club decide to fire Louis van Gaal.

The Times report that a proposed deal to sign Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson will stall if the club sack the Dutchman.

It is claimed Van Gaal wants to sign the Brazilian in January from the Italian side.

No agreement has been reached as yet, with The Times claiming Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also monitoring the player.

Anderson is 22-years-old and has made rapid progress at Lazio over the past 18 months, joining the club in 2013 from Santos, and made his international debut earlier this year.

Able to play on either wing, he has four Serie A goals in 10 starts for the club this season, and is a teammate of former United starlet Ravel Morrison.

The Mirror reported earlier this year that Van Gaal was interested in the attacker, but had been put off by a £57 million release clause in his contract.
