According to The Irish Sun, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are pursuing Preston North End's talented midfielder Alan Browne.
Browne, 20, joined North End from Cork City back in January 2014, and he quickly earned a place in Simon Grayson's side with promising displays.
The Ireland Under-21 international then helped Preston gain promotion from League One last season, and has been a first-team regular in the Championship this term.
It's clear that Browne, an energetic midfielder who can both defend and attack, has a bright future ahead of him, and Preston will be hoping to keep hold of him for as long as they possibly can.
However, those hopes may be dealt a blow, as The Irish Sun report that Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are both interested in signing Browne, having been impressed with his displays this season.
Browne only signed a new three-year contract over the summer, meaning he is contracted at Deepdale until 2018, so the Lilywhites will be under little pressure to sell.
Yet, it's stated that Bournemouth are preparing an opening bid of £1.5m for Browne, whilst Palace are also lurking as manager Alan Pardew looks to add some new faces to his squad in January.
After watching Dele Alli's rise to stardom at Tottenham, Premier League clubs will be even more willing to take chances on young Football League stars - and Browne would certainly fit in that category for Bournemouth and Palace.
