The midfielder has been excellent for Tottenham since arriving permanently from MK Dons in the summer.
The former MK Dons midfielder joined up with the club this summer after his initial move to the club in February. The teenager remained with his boyhood club for the rest of the season, helping them to promotion to the Championship with an exceptional run of form.
Now his former boss at Milton Keynes Karl Robinson has spoke about that decision. He says that the decision to remain with the club was the player's.
“Dele could have gone six months before he did and there was three Premier League clubs interested, but he stayed.
“Then the Tottenham deal came around and to be fair to my chief executive and the powers that be at Spurs they said he wants to stay until the end of the season because his dream was to get MK Dons into the Championship.
“How often do you hear that dedication from a young man? And he stayed and he fought for everything – every tackle, every header, every pass, everything he did was to the best of his ability.”
Alli was fanstastic for MK Dons after he decided to remain with the club as the club raked in Preston North End and earned automatic promotion to the Championship.
This season he has thrived in the Spurs first-team and is also starring for England as well - his recent performance against France potentially the thing of legend in years to come.
Now he must continue his form for Tottenham as they look to make the Premier League top four.
