The Reds will take on Leicester at Anfield on Boxing Day, and former Liverpool winger Barnes has predicted the home team to win the Premier League encounter 2-1.
“As I’ve already alluded to, Klopp will have learnt from the Watford game, so I expect to see a big response from Liverpool at Anfield,” the former Celtic manager has written on Titanbet.co.uk.
“Leicester will get players forward, so it’ll be an open game and the home side have the greater quality. Goalscorers – Christian Benteke and Riyad Mahrez.”
Liverpool will head into Saturday afternoon’s game against Leicester on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Watford away from home at Vicarage Road.
It was the Reds’ worst performance under new manager Jurgen Klopp, and the fans will be expecting a strong response.
Playing at home against Leicester will give the Merseyside outfit an advantage, but the problem is that Claudio Ranieri’s side are in good form at the moment.
The Foxes are currently two points clear at the top of the Premier League table and will not be scared of taking the game to Liverpool at Anfield on Boxing Day.
The match is likely to end in a draw, but one should not be surprised if Leicester pick up all three points.
