Liverpool v Leicester predicted line-ups and match preview

Liverpool Supporters

Leicester City will aim to retain their status at the top of the table when they take on Liverpool at Anfield.

To be played on Saturday 26th December 2015 at 15:00. Venue: Anfield, Liverpool

Odds: Liverpool 22/23, Draw 56/19, Leicester 3/1

There seems to be no stopping Leicester City at the moment. No one will have predicted they would two points clear at the top of the table at Christmas, and no one will have thought they will have been 10/1 to finish the season as Champions.

They travel to Anfield this Boxing Day 14 points clear of their opponents having not lost in their last 10 league games - winning eight of them. Claudio Ranieri's side are currently living the dream.

Liverpool, however, have seen their momentum halt following recent defeats to Newcastle United and Watford and Reds boss Jurgen Klopp knows he needs to improve the side's home form if he is to be a success on Merseyside. A win feels essential for them if they are to keep in touch with the top four, as they currently trail Tottenham by five points.

The home side could be short of numbers at centre-back, meaning Kolo Toure could make his first league start of the season, while they could be sweating on the fitness of James Milner and Simon Mignolet.

For Leicester, Jamie Vardy could be a doubt for the game after he was holding his hamstring when substituted during the win over Everton, while Danny Drinkwater will not be risked as he is sidelined with a hamstring problem.
