The Blackburn Rovers striker would be a great addition for West Ham United in 2016.
However, a string of injuries to key players has seen Slaven Bilic’s side falter in recent weeks, and three straight 0-0 draws have shown the importance of the players currently fighting hard to regain their fitness.
In the case of summer signings Manuel Lanzini and Dimitri Payet, they may return sooner rather than later, but West Ham could still do with more out-and-out goal threat and there is one striker – long tipped for a move to the top flight – who would be perfect for the Hammers.
Jordan Rhodes has scored everywhere he has been and the 25-year-old has 82 goals in 163 appearances for Blackburn Rovers – nine of which have come this season.
The Scotland international previously scored 82 goals in 144 matches for Huddersfield and now could be the perfect time for him to step up, especially with West Ham striker Diafra Sakho out until early March.
The Hammers need another spark to ensure their promising campaign does not fizzle out, and while Blackburn will be reluctant to do business, a big bid could tempt them, while also giving West Ham a player that would thrive playing ahead of the likes of Lanzini and Payet.
