The Togo striker will not be heading to Yorkshire any time soon.
Sheffield Wednesday are well funded at the moment but even so it would be amazing to see Wednesday afford his wages.
But they won't, as Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal confirmed in his press conference today.
The Portuguese manager made it clear that the club were not interested in Adebayor. He claims the story is merely a rumour and that he deals in reality, not fantasy - as reported by Yorkshire Post and Eurosport.
Adebayor was finally released by Tottenham Hotspur in September. The Togo striker had been told by Mauricio Pochettino that his services were no longer required at White Hart Lane – but failed to negotiate a move away from the club during the transfer window.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City man is set to find a new team in the New Year, but it looks like Wednesday will not be bringing him in.
