Tottenham are hoping to get him on the relatively cheap.
The Cameroonian forward damaged medial ligaments in the Europa League two weeks ago and is now set for three months on the sidelines - leaving Tottenham short up front.
The report claims that Tottenham are hoping that Berahino's poor form will see them be able to get him for less than the £23 million maximum bid that Spurs saw rejected in the summer for the player.
With N'Jie out Spurs need to bring in another option and Berahino would appear to be the perfect man for the job and that price-tag will surely not put them off.
The deal fell apart however because of a mini stand-off between West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace and his counterpart at Spurs Daniel Levy - so that issue would need to be bridged in order for any deal to get any deal over the line.
Berahino has not been a regular in the West Brom side recently after his struggles with the board regarding his future in the summer.
