Crystal Palace and Leicester City are just two of the top flight clubs reportedly interested in a move for the 19-year-old.
Demarai Gray has insisted that he is very happy to continue his development at Birmingham City, but hinted that a move to the Premier League could still be on the cards in the near future, the Birmingham Mail reports.
Crystal Palace, Southampton, Bournemouth and league leaders Leicester City have all been linked with the exciting winger in recent times, according to the Mail. And with a reported release clause of just £3.75million, it seems likely that Gray will be one of the most highly sought after players during the upcoming January transfer window.
While the 19-year-old confirmed that he was happy at St Andrew's, he did hint that he may no longer be a part of Gary Rowett's side come February (via Mail).
"I have always been happy at Birmingham," he said.
"Like I have said many times before. What will be, will be, who knows what the future holds?
"All I can say is I am happy at Birmingham, I am playing every week and the management staff are getting the best out of me and always working with me on little improvements in my game."
Having made 22 appearances in the Championship for the Blues this season - with only one appearance coming from the bench - it would surely make much more sense for the winger to remain with Birmingham for the sake of his development, especially if a top flight side is initially unable to offer a similar amount of game-time.
However, with a talent of Gray's potential, it seems that the Premier League sides chasing his signature will try to complete a move before their rivals can swoop in.
Tottenham's move for Dele Alli may act as a blueprint for how any potential suitors look to complete a January move for Gray. Alli - who has played alongside Gray at England youth levels - was immediately loaned back to former side MK Dons upon completing his move to White Hart Lane.
And the loan move served Alli well as he has now established himself as one of the first names of Mauricio Pochettino's teamsheet, and the clubs chasing Gray may be hoping to pull off a similar move in January.
