Karl Robinson believes that the pair are two of the best in the league.
The win was well deserved and there is no doubt that Cape Verde international Ryan Mendes was integral to the win.
He returned from injury to add some raw pace to the team and he had a big impact on proceedings.
He set up Nelson Oliveira's first goal, with the Portuguese forward once again outstanding, and then bagged his own in an excellent performance from the on loan attacker.
Mendes, on his day, looks like he can be as unplayable as anyone in this league whilst Nelson could easily be considered the best forward in the division when it comes to all round play.
Certainly the pair received big praise from the MK Dons manager.
He told the press after the game:
"The Nottinghame Forest squad is just light years ahead of ours . Players like the boys Oliveira and Mendes are as good as you get at this level."
Mendes and Oliveira have certainly proved to be a hit at the City Ground this season. The pair, on loan from Lille and Benfica respectively, have certainly been impressive at the club and if they can keep up their form who knows where Forest might just end up this season.
