The Argentine attacking midfielder had plenty of offers from European teams before the season started, but he believed Upton Park was the right choice for him.
Lanzini was eager to work with Slaven Bilic, while he was also pleased to see so many Spanish speakers in West Ham’s squad.
The 22-year-old was also attracted by a move to the Premier League, and living in London.
He said: “There were several offers to come to Europe. All were sort of loan deals and West Ham was the best for me. It is a well-organised club where I can develop as a footballer and a human being.
"There’s a great group of players with several Spanish speakers, and coaching staff with faith in me who give me confidence.
“London is one of the great cities of the world, everyone wants to see it. The Premier League is fast and dynamic, it suits my game. It has all made the adaptation process easier. I’m very comfortable here.”
Lanzini’s decision to move to West Ham has been proven to be correct, as he has made a huge impact with Bilic’s side thus far.
The creative midfielder arrived at West Ham with a small reputation, but he has quickly proven his class.
Lanzini has played 12 times for the Hammers in the Premier League so far and he has scored four goals in the process.
At the moment Lanzini is out injured and West Ham have suffered in his absence, failing to win any of their last seven matches.
